Terms of use
The short version: read freely, share the links, don't copy the articles wholesale, and remember that this is general information, not personal advice.
What this site is
The Gentle AI Guide is an independent publication that explains artificial intelligence in plain English for a general audience. It is run by Jacob S. Olsen in Denmark. It is not affiliated with any AI company.
Information, not advice
The articles are general information, written to be accurate on the date they were last checked. They are not personal medical, legal, financial or technical advice, and they can't take your individual situation into account. For decisions that matter — health, money, contracts, security — check with a qualified person. AI tools also change often; a setting or price described here may have moved by the time you read it.
Mistakes
We try hard to be right and we correct errors publicly — see Corrections. But we can't guarantee that every article is free of mistakes, and we're not liable for decisions you take based on what you read here.
Using our content
You're welcome to read, print for personal use, quote short passages with a link, and share links anywhere. Please don't republish whole articles or the illustrations elsewhere without asking — it's an easy question to ask, and we usually say yes to non-commercial use.
Links to other sites
We link to other websites when it helps. We don't control them and aren't responsible for what's on them.
Advertising
The site may carry clearly labelled advertisements. Advertisements are never disguised as articles, and no article recommends a product because someone paid for it. See Privacy for what advertising means for your data.
Changes
If these terms change, the date below will change with them.
