Privacy
The short version: this site collects almost nothing about you, and we'd like to keep it that way.
What we collect
No account, no sign-up, no forms. You can read everything here without telling us who you are. We don't collect names, email addresses or anything else unless you choose to write to us.
Server records. Like every website, the company that hosts this site (Cloudflare) keeps standard technical records of visits — the address of the page you asked for, the time, and the general type of browser. These are used to keep the site running and protect it from attacks. We don't use them to identify you.
Cookies and what's stored in your browser
If you press the A / A+ / A++ text-size buttons, your choice is saved in your own browser so the site remembers it next time. That's all. It never leaves your computer, and clearing your browser's site data removes it.
We do not currently use analytics cookies or tracking pixels, so there are no cookie settings to change. If that changes — for example when advertising is switched on — a cookie choice will appear here and on every page, and you'll be asked before anything is set.
Fonts
The typefaces on this site are loaded from Google Fonts. When a page loads, your browser asks Google's servers for the font files, which means Google sees the request. If you'd prefer that didn't happen, your browser's settings or an ad-blocker can prevent it; the site still works with your computer's own fonts.
If we switch on advertising
To cover its costs, this site may in future show a small number of clearly labelled advertisements through Google AdSense. If and when that happens, this page will be updated first, and:
- Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising at google.com/settings/ads.
- Visitors in the EU and UK will be asked for consent before any advertising cookies are set.
Advertisements will never be disguised as articles, and no article will recommend a product because someone paid for it.
Writing to us
If you email [email protected], we keep your message so we can reply. We don't add you to any list, and we don't share your address with anyone.
The person responsible for this site (the "data controller") is Jacob S. Olsen, Denmark, reachable at the address above. If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet) or the data authority in your own country.
Changes
If anything on this page changes, the date below will change with it.
